A suggestion of Caroline Guépin
Agatha Raisin and
the quiche of death has been written by M.C.Beaton an alias for Marion Chesney.
This is the first book of a long series under this pseudonym of
M.C.Beaton. Marion Chesney is a very prolific writer. She has written around
200 books under several pseudonyms. The book was inspired by the Cotswolds,
where she lives.
The story, a
murder inquest by Agatha Raisin, makes us discover the country where Shakespeare
was born, different types of possible poison and the local gastronomy. We were
confronted to many different characters that make the story a good suspense since
everyone could be guilty.
We all loved the
book, were entertained to the point we wished to read the series, but the book
club imposes to change country with every book, thus we are moving to another country.
